The Blood RNA Concentration Kit provides reagents to concentrate purified blood RNA to a volume suitable for target preparation. A set of control RNA samples used to verify the globin reduction process is available in the Globin-Reduction RNA Controls.

Increased assay sensitivity when working with human whole blood RNA samples Use of the Kit improves assay sensitivity by reducing the amount of labeled globin cRNA produced during target preparation using a mixture of peptide nucleic acid (PNA) oligonucleotides complementary to human globin message (not included in this kit). Streamlined experimental workflow The kit seamlessly integrates the globin-reduction procedure into the GeneChip Target Labeling Assay, requiring minimal additional hands-on time. Novel Control RNAs for validating and monitoring the globin reduction process A set of control RNAs are available in the Globin-Reduction RNA Controls kit for assessing the effectiveness of the globin-reduction process, providing additional information not available when only processing whole blood samples.
